An additional option available only from Bullard, the TacPort utility block transforms the TacSight Thermal Imager from a highly mobile handheld unit, to one suitable for longer term fixed position surveillance. TacPort is fitted with standard 40mm tripod threading for attachment to TacSight and fitting onto other tripod devices. TacPort is capable of feeding auxiliary power to TacSight as well as feeding power and video out for recording or transmitting of images.

Only available from Bullard, the TacSwitch display control switch (on / off / dim) allows the operating officer to control the amount of backlighting exposure from the large LCD screen to him/herself with the camera still operating! Why is this significant? Even in the “off” position, the camera can still transmit to a command unit so that a 2^nd officer can see what the camera sees, and he/she can advise the user of what and where the danger is.
