Tums Firefighter Grant-in-Aid
The Tums Firefighter Grant-in-Aid program, operated by First Responder Institute (FRI), offers grants to fire departments, ranging
from $1,000 to $2,500. This grant program is geared toward small fire departments, and aims to assist first responders with the purchase
of up-to-date equipment. The simple on-line application, found at www.firstresponder.org, requires
a 500-word description of need. Every quarter, the FRI board of directors reviews applications and determines which departments will be funded.
