Bullard TacSight Thermal Imagers for law enforcement utilize the following features that make these thermal imagers critical for the law enforcement mission:
|
Law enforcement optics Thermal imagers designed for the fire service are engineered with different optics and fields of view (FOV). In military and law enforcement thermal imagers, this is called detection range. Detection range is how far the thermal imager can be from an object and still detect a heat signature. When conducting fugitive searches, search and rescue operations and surveillance, seeing far distances is imperative. Thermal imagers designed for the fire service are developed with a narrow FOV, to suit the needs of the firefighters inside a burning building. Bullard TacSight Thermal Imagers are designed with wider FOVs to help officers cover larger areas. Advanced features Polarity inversion, manual focus and manual gain are all features offered on Bullard TacSight Thermal Imagers, but not appropriate for fire service thermal imagers. These features have been designed to allow officers to focus on smaller differences in temperature. Backlight control Backlighting is a condition where the thermal imager itself casts a light at the officer operating it, defeating nearly all the safety advantages offered by the thermal imager. Bullard TacScope monocular eyepiece can eliminate backlighting completely. |
Bullard TacSight Thermal Imagers are developed to be durable and dependable. You’ll find product features, hands-on training and accessories designed for law enforcement and tested in the field.
