Bullard Fire Helmet Saves Firefighter’s Life
Canadian firefighter, Captain Alain Blaine will continue fighting fires, rescuing victims and leading his crew, thanks to a Bullard UST Fire Helmet that recently saved his life. On October 13th, at 11:30 p.m., Captain Blaine and his crew were called to the scene of a burning single-family home. When they arrived they entered the house for an interior attack on the ground floor. “After about five feet into the kitchen, we were in dense smoke,” said Blaine. “My firemen with the spears headed in one directions and I began checking on the other side with a thermal imager.” As Blaine was assessing the scene, a wooden beam that was suspended broke and landed on his fire helmet, immediately knocking him to the ground. “It wasn’t until I got out to check on my state of health that someone advised me that my helmet was broken on the right side.” Captain Blaine works for the Saint-Lin-Laurentides Fire department in Canada and has owned his Bullard UST fire helmet for two years. The Bullard UST helmet has an outershell made of Thermoglas® providing optimal toughness and durability. Thanks to Captain Blaine for being “Bullard Tough!’ Leather Front Configurator
