Eclipse™ Thermal Imager Gives Firefighters More Eyes on the Fire
Bullard is the first to offer firefighters a low-cost, personal-issue thermal imager

The Bullard Eclipse is the fire service industry’s first low-cost, lightweight, ultra-small, personal-issue thermal imager designed for every firefighter. Designed by the leading thermal imaging manufacturer in the fire service market, the Bullard Eclipse provides firefighters with a personal-issue thermal imager to help navigate in and out of a burning building.

Eclipse

This ultra-small thermal imager, weighing 1.5 pounds, is ergonomically shaped to fit in the palm of a firefighter’s hand. The Eclipse features a super lightweight design, easy- push one button operation, quality imagery, and a 1000 degree dynamic range. “With the innovative design and technology of the Eclipse, firefighters can now be equipped with their own personal-issue thermal imager,” said Brad Harvey, Bullard thermal imaging product manager.

“The Eclipse is small enough so firefighters can attach it to their gear and powerful enough to be their ‘eyes’ in a fire.” According to the U.S. Fire Administration, 114 firefighters lost their lives in 2008. Nearly 18 percent of those firefighters killed on a fire scene died because they became lost, trapped or caught in a structural fire. The navigational function of the Eclipse paired with an advanced, lead thermal imager for analysis and investigation can help firefighters safely evaluate a scene by having multiple “eyes” in the fire.

TrakLite™ Offers Hands-Free Lighting Solution
Integrated structural fire helmet light helps enhance firefighter safety

The Bullard TrakLite is the first fully integrated structural fire helmet light for the fire service. The innovative TrakLite design, exclusively for Bullard structural fire helmets, easily mounts on the front of a fire helmet, illuminating dark, smoky, low visibility areas for firefighters.

TrakLite

TrakLite features eight white domed LED lights integrated into the front of the fire helmet, plus a blue LED indicator light mounted to the rear of the helmet. The blue “buddy indicator” light in the rear of the helmet helps provide greater visibility of the wearer to other members of the firefighting crew.

Unlike traditional lighting solutions, the TrakLite design helps to eliminate snagging hazards since it requires no external clips, brackets or wires. This innovative safety design allows the weight of the TrakLite to be evenly distributed in the front and rear of the helmet offering a comfortable fit for the user. The 40-lumen TrakLite is powered by four AAA batteries that provide firefighters with more than six hours of continuous light.

TrakLite is currently available on all Bullard structural fire helmets including the UST6, USTM6, FX, PX and LT and can be field retrofitted for select helmets. For retrofit information, contact Bullard Customer Service at 877-BULLARD. For more information on Bullard products visit www.bullard.com.
