Class A CDL Truck Driver

We are seeking a dependable and organized Class A, CDL driverwho possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina,who thrives working long hours on the road,and whocan consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries. The driver will work with our sales and marketing teams to transport a 48-foot gooseneck trailer (The Bullard Mobile ExperienceCenter) to various locations within the United States for approximately 8-9 months of the year. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, have a clean driving record,and understand Department of Transportation rules,regulations and logging requirements.Ideally, the candidate will have an interest in learning more about Bullard’s products and can help support Bullard sales and marketing personnel in their meetings with clients, distributors, end users, and conference attendees.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of the truck and trailerprior to and following each trip
  • Check weather conditions and road reports before departure
  • Always ensure the vehicle and traileris kept clean
  • Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)
  • Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations
  • Must pass background check and drug tests and provide employment recommendations
  • Skilled at driving large vehicles
  • Comfortable maneuvering and parking a gooseneck trailer
  • Alert, focused, and detail-oriented

  • Marketing or Sales experience

  • Physically and mentally fit
  • Ability to lift upto 50 lbs. at a time
  • Proficient using GPS
  • A naturalsense of direction
  • Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Class A driver’s license required
  • 2+ years proven experience with gooseneck trailerdriving preferred
  • Requirements

  • Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times
  • Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
  • Adhere to company rules and regulations
  • Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
  • Comply with ICC and DOT regulations

  • Assist with setup and teardown of the marketing trailer
  • Assist in mappingroutes
  • Stay on predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries
  • Be able to adapt routes and schedules as unforeseen circumstances may dictate
  • Communicate with managementas needed

  • Fully understand how to operate and safely pulla 48-footgooseneck trailer
  • Pull a towed weight exceeding 28,000 lbs.
  • Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to truck
  • Be on call to pick up and deliver trailer as needed
  • Ensure contents are properly secured inside of trailerto prevent breakage or damage
