Quality Engineer

Position Summary:                                                      

The Quality Engineer's responsibilities include identifying and implementing quality controls and requirements, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, and determining corrective actions. The Quality Engineer will also work with managers, leaders, and employees to implement quality measures as part of Bullard’s Quality Management System.

 

Key Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                     

  • Support manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production and compliance to quality standards
  • Maintain, review, and update quality documents
  • Monitors processes and reports on non-conforming materials, rejections, and product returns
  • Participate and provide inputs in design reviews of new and sustaining Product Development projects
  • Work with cross functional & leadership team towards achieving business objectives & financial targets by addressing/improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth
  • Track and monitor customer complaints, investigate root cause, and provide corrective actions
  • Advocate for continuous improvement within our facilities and all supplier manufacturing processes

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 6 years of experience or Bachelors degree and 2 years of Quatlity Engineering Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or similar Quality role
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Experience with production processes, quality controls, and other techniques for the effective manufacture and processing of goods
  • Skilled in the use of the standard and advanced quality tools
  • Excellent communication and computer skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean and Six Sigma experience
  • Knowledge and experience with APQP
  • Experience in injection molding
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, products, components, and applications by conducting research and applying knowledge of electricity and materials
  • Working knowledge of problem-solving tools and techniques
  • Strong ability to read and interpret product drawings both in English and Metric
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to proactively identify and solve problems
