The Sales Operation Support Specialist provides support to Regional Sales Managers in the field and interacts with customers or prospects who contact Bullard’s sales department via web, inbound call or email. Though not generally responsible for direct selling, their work contributes to good customer relationships and enables the field sales team to spend more time selling.  Additional responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads to support the Americas Regional Sales Managers.   This position is also accountable for managing Bullard’s CRM ensuring that the Sales & Marketing organizations make the most out of our marketing promotions including developing special CRM reports and tools around sales effectiveness.  This position reports to the Director of Sales – Industrial Safety and Health

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop continuing testing strategies for all aspects of the CRM to ensure the most effective approach for the company and its products.
  • Develop new business via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media to introduce the Bullard solution and identify appropriate buyers within our key target markets.
  • Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
  • Conduct a needs analysis and determine prospect’s pain points to determine how the Bullard solution will speak to those needs.
  • Identify key buying influencers within these prospects.
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet revenue goals.
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients in Bullard CRM, ensuring all communications are logged and information is accurate.
  • Prepare and analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards, as needed.
  • Plan and deliver CRM strategies across Bullard encouraging customer retention and customer loyalty.
  • Utilize the CRM platform structure and architecture to ensure it works seamlessly across Bullard and captures all required information at key points in the customer life cycle.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure the CRM works effectively for all aspects of the company.
  • Oversee direct communications with customers through the CRM.
  • Monitor and maximize customer lifetime value strategies ensuring maximum profitability.
  • Ensure the database is segmented effectively for targeted marketing activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications or related field.
  • Experience in the PPE industry preferred.
  • 5-10 years lead generation and/or inside sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined sales and activity quotas.
  • A proven track record of strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent sales support skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Epicor, Salesforce or another CRM Software preferred
