Job Summary:  Under the direction of the Logistics Leader, the Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for processing the companies outgoing deliveries from the warehouse to the end customer.  In addition, the Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for processing incoming deliveries from the suppliers and delivering product to the warehouse. 

Essential Functions

  • Process a minimum of 125 shipping line items per day including domestic and international shipments.
  • Be a liaison between manufacturing and customer service regarding shipping dates.

  • Print shipment labels, customs documents and all necessary shipment information and required documentation, verifying all export documentation is included with all international shipments
  • Correctly route items to appropriate departments and warehouse locations
  • Ensure shipments are properly identified, labeled and loaded into delivery and transport vehicles
  • Prepare bills of lading and maintain the documentation for domestic shipments

  • Verify all supplier deliveries against purchase orders, invoices, manifests and other documents to insure correctness.
  • Prepare commercial invoices and customs documentation for international shipments

  • Record and report overages, shortages, and incorrect shipments to the purchasing department.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of software such as UPS, FedEx, EPICOR, and Outlook required.
  • Working knowledge of relevant equipment such as scanners, scales, and automatic shrink wrap
  • Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts (stand up and sit-down forklifts) and pallet jacks
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job including but not limited to standing for long periods, moving and lifting boxes of various weights, pushing and pulling loads, and ability to reach and bend.
  • Ability to work required overtime schedule on short notice.
  • Ability to comply with and follow company policies including safety practices and procedures
  • Certified to operate a forklift or must be able to pass the forklift certification (both stand up and sit down forklifts)


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
