Hard hat inventor honoured during National Construction Appreciation Week!
Last week was National Construction Appreciation Week, and the National Inventor’s Hall of Fame is celebrated E.W. Bullard, inventor of the hard hat.
Since its invention 1919, the hard hat has become a mandatory piece of equipment for protecting workers all over the world, leading to a substantial drop in worker deaths since OSHA began requiring hard hats on job sites in 1971.
