Bullard Chairman Receives International Safety Award

OCTOBER 23, 2006 – CYNTHIANA, KY – Bullard Chairman, Edward D. “Jed” Bullard, was awarded the 2006 Distinguished Service Award by the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) during its Fall Meeting on October 23, 2006 in Washington, D.C. A recognized leader in the field of personal protective equipment, Jed Bullard has made safety and his fourth generation company, Bullard, his lifelong passion.

The Distinguished Service Award acknowledges Mr. Bullard’s vision and leadership. Aside from his current work as Chairman at Bullard, Mr. Bullard served as Chairman of the Board at both ISEA (1995-96) and the National Safety Council (2003-05.) ISEA, based in Arlington, Virginia, is the association for safety equipment manufacturers and NSC, Itasca, Illinois is the nation’s leading safety advocacy organization.

In his current work, Jed Bullard exudes an enthusiasm for safety. It is only natural, given his family history in the safety industry. Founded in 1898 by Jed Bullard’s great-grandfather, Bullard is today a leading manufacturer of personal protective equipment and systems worldwide. Product lines include powered air-purifying respirators, supplied air respirators, air quality equipment, thermal imagers, hard hats (first commercialized for industrial use by Mr. Bullard’s grandfather), and firefighter and rescue helmets.
