New web-based tool helps users quickly identify correct pressure settings based on their respirator configuration
Cynthiana, KY – Bullard has introduced a new digital Pressure Table tool designed to help users accurately determine the correct pressure settings for Bullard supplied air respirator systems. The tool simplifies a process that is critical to proper respirator performance by guiding users step by step through their specific system configuration.
Type CE Supplied Air Respirator systems are required industrial respirator systems for Abrasive Blasting work that provide pressurized air to the user via air from a compressor and airline hose.
Different respirator models, hose lengths, and flow controls require different pressure settings to deliver the correct airflow to the hood. A longer hose, for example, requires higher pressure to achieve the same airflow, similar to how water pressure drops the farther it travels through a garden hose. The Bullard Pressure Table tool accounts for these variables and identifies the appropriate PSI range at the point of attachment based on the user’s exact setup. “Setting the correct pressure for a supplied air respirator depends on the exact combination of components being used,” said Patrick Bello, Respiratory Product Manager at Bullard. “The Pressure Table tool helps users identify the appropriate pressure range for their specific configuration by walking them through each component step by step.”
The tool walks users through selecting components of their respirator system, including respirator model, flow control device and hose length, to calculate the correct pressure range needed to consistently deliver the required airflow where it matters most, to the hood.
The Pressure Table tool is accessible online and can be used anywhere an internet connection is available, whether on a jobsite or in the field.
The Bullard Pressure Table tool is only compatible with Bullard supplied air respirator systems and is available at no cost.
