Get the Pressure Right: Introducing Bullard’s Digital Pressure Table Tool

If you’ve ever worked with a supplied air respirator, you already know that pressure settings are not a guessing game.

Different respirator models, hose lengths, and flow controls all impact how much pressure is needed to deliver the right airflow to your hood. A 25-foot hose and a 200-foot hose do not behave the same, and setting them to the same pressure will not deliver the same result.

That’s exactly why Bullard developed the new Pressure Table tool.

In a supplied air system, the pressure set at the point of attachment determines how much air reaches the hood. As air travels through longer hoses or different flow controls, pressure changes. If the pressure is set too low or too high, the airflow to the hood can be adversely affected. If it is set incorrectly, you will not receive the required airflow and the respirator may not perform as intended. This can cause serious injury or death.

The Pressure Table tool provides a simple, digital format that walks you through the process step by step.

The tool guides you through identifying each component for setting the correct pressure for your Bullard supplied air respirator system, including:

  • Respirator model
  • Hose type and length
  • Flow control components

Based on your selections, the tool identifies the correct PSI range needed at the Point of Attachment to deliver proper airflow to the hood

The Pressure Table tool is web-based and can be accessed from any device with an internet connection. Whether you are working under a bridge or reviewing a setup before a job starts, the tool is always available.

It is designed to support consistent setup practices across teams and job sites by making pressure information easy to find and easy to use.

Bullard has created a short instructional video that walks through how to use the Pressure Table tool and how to identify the correct pressure settings for your system.

Pressure tables are not suggestions. They exist to ensure your supplied air respirator system is set up correctly based on its components. The Bullard Pressure Table tool makes that process faster, and convenient for the worker.

If you use a Bullard supplied air respirator system, this tool puts the information you need right at your fingertips.
